Dino the Lizard
Dear Animal Lovers,
If you are reading this blog of mine, you definitely consider not just dogs but animals as mans best friend.
I shall be writing here all about animals, birds, reptiles, insects, the entire kingdom. Most of them visit me and some I go to the forests to visit.
Today's hero is Dino the Lizard.I have named him Dino as I always tell everyone when they see a lizard and jump, that "it is just a lizard and not a Dinosaur". Look at your size and look at that reptiles size.
I feel it is big success on my part to also sensitize my family. I remember my husband breaking many brooms and other washroom accessories to try and kill lizards, till I put a complete stop to it by telling him that we shall not be killing anything except mosquitoes in this house. Though I am not really too affected by the presence of mosquitoes too. Readers must be thinking, this person is a true animal herself.
My son who was also petrified of lizards got sensitized and has become immune to them slowly. I had taken them both to a farm house which had lizards of the size of a gecko. we can exaggerate by saying Monitor Lizards. Now my son has no issues sleeping in a tent in the middle of nowhere.
So Dino has survived in the house since the last three years or more.Dino has had babies, which have eventually gone, but Dino has been here. He appears in the evening and his favorite spot is moving from behind the fridge towards the terrace. I often see his babies in an around and my mantra is Live and Let Live.
He has become quite big and now the only one who gets disturbed with his presence is Holmes our pet Labrador. Holmes goes crazy when he sees Dino silently creeping from behind the fridge. He also does not understand why mom or anyone else in the house is not perturbed with Dino's presence.
I have introduced you to the reptile in my life with this first post. Shall try and capture a picture of Dino soon.
with magical love
